28: What the Eff…Sydney is Leaving?

Description:

This is the hardest news I’ve ever had to share with you.

After Thanksgiving last year, Sydney stepped down as my co-host of the What The Eff podcast and as the creative director of my activewear company, Cove.

I have been heartbroken by the news. The podcast has never been a place for drama and there’s none to stir. Nothing bad happened, and maybe that’s why it’s been so difficult to move forward. But there are times and seasons in life and things move on, and that’s what’s happening here. I love Sydney and wish her nothing short of the absolute best as she continues on to the next chapter in her life.

Thank you, Sydney

Working with her for the last year and a half was incredible, and I want to reflect on some of the amazing things she’s helped me with during that time:

  • Sydney played a huge role in helping me rebrand Cove. I initially launched the company as dancewear and as I started transitioning it into activewear, Sydney came into my life. She brought her amazing style and aesthetic to the brand. I’m so, so grateful to her for that.
  • Sydney was a massive help helping Cove grow on social media. She has a beautiful way of storytelling and applied it so well when it came to sharing Cove’s story.
  • Sydney helped launch the What the Eff podcast! We were constantly talking about different podcasts we were inspired by, but we both felt like there was a space for people to share their raw stories of how they grew a business despite not knowing what they were doing. We felt so deeply that those stories were important to share, and I’m so thankful that she helped create this space to do that.
  • Most importantly, Sydney helped me through the most hardest time of my life when my marriage ended. She was there for me every hour of every day. There were so many late-night phone calls and tears and talks over that experience. God sent her to my life when I needed her most, and I’ll be forever thankful that she showed up.

I wanted to make sure I reflected on all the positive changes Sydney’s made in my life before continuing on. Her belief in me helped me beyond words.

What’s Next

With that, the What the Eff podcast will continue in her absence. I asked not too long ago on Instagram what followers were struggling with. Here’s some of what you had to say:

  • Financial burden
  • Balancing it all
  • Loneliness and depression
  • Self-motivation
  • Staying positive
  • Building an email list
  • Imposter syndrome

Reading your answers reminded me how important it is for the podcast to be here. People need to know that we can overcome these struggles, even if we don’t know what we’re doing. So I will keep showing up, and I hope you will too.

Here’s a bit of what you can expect going forward:

  • You’ll hear more interviews with people sharing their raw moments of how they’re showing up for their dreams, even when they don’t know what they’re doing.
  • Solo shows from me talking about what’s working and what’s not working as I build my own company.
  • I’ll continue speaking to priming, law of attraction and more.

Priming Challenge

Speaking of priming…

There will be a free five-day priming challenge starting on Monday, April 29th. You can sign up right here to join. I’ll be going live with you and teaching you my 15-minute priming routine. If you don’t know about priming, it’s an amazing way to remove negative chatter from your mind and can help you manifest what you want in life.

I’d also love to hear your own “What the Eff” moments! Email me at hello@whattheeffpodcast.com with the subject line “What the Eff moments.” I’d love to share your moments on the show, so email away!

Thank you again for being here, and thank you to Sydney. We love you and are cheering for you as you move forward.
