Description: After the homicides of Mildred May in 1967, Becky Martin in 1973, and Carla Walker in 1974, all in the months of February, another homicide took place in 1977 on that very month. The case was the least covered, resulting in only a few short articles in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Cleburne Times-Review. It has been said that the case went cold almost as soon as the murder happened. The fourth and final victim in what the press referred to as the “February Slayings,” was June Ward.
