Category: Business
Duration: 00:26:18

Description: The United Nations says less than ten per cent of plastic waste is recycled. Dr Richard Munang is an African climate change and development policy expert for the UN Environment Program in Kenya, and tells us how businesses can benefit from reducing plastic use. And Erin Simon of World Wildlife Fund US explains why firms are often reluctant to make that move. Also in the programme, we hear why millions of farmers across India have gone on strike. Roaming wild boar are posing a health risk to the pork industry in Denmark. Christian Fink Hansen of the Danish Agriculture and Food Council tells us why his organisation backs a new 68km fence on the border with Germany to try and tackle the problem. Sports betting begins today in the US state of Delaware. Casey Clarke of the American Gaming Association welcomes the move, whilst Keith Whyte of the National Council on Problem Gambling sounds a note of caution. Plus we have a report looking at whether pay transparency could help narrow the gender pay gap.
