Category: Business
Duration: 00:26:27

Description: French President Emmanuel Macron has said he will not abandon a controversial fuel tax. The BBC's Rob Young has been in Paris, finding out more about the wave of anger towards Mr Macron. Also in the programme, as President Trump says he is likely to go ahead with a hike on tariffs imposed on Chinese goods, our regular economic commentator Roger Bootle of Capital Economics considers the potential impact on the global economy. Plus, major clothing retailers have faced scrutiny from a British parliamentary committee over the environmental impact of so-called 'fast fashion', where many clothes end up in landfill after a short period of use. Mary Creagh is chair of the Environmental Audit Committee, and tells us what she learned at today's hearing. And we also hear from Mike Barry, director of sustainable business at clothing retailer Marks and Spencer, who gave evidence on behalf of the chain.
