Last month Dr David Hammond from the Institute for Economics and Peace taught a module at the War Studies Department titled 'Peace, Conflict, Quantitative Research and Big Data'.
He answers the question of whether the world is becoming more violent, talks about how an average person can make sense of 'big data' to become a 'good data citizen' and whether data can be used to predict conflict.
