Episode Description: In this episode, Sensei Genzan continues his dive into the Jewel Mirror Samadhi by taking a look at what it means to understand like a child. Here Genzan explores the qualities of a beginner’s mind, and how a part of practice can be to recapture the mind of a child. Later, Sensei Genzan relates to us the story of the Buddha’s birth and of how we are all the Time-Honored One. Finally, Genzan encourages us to, “sit zazen as if we were sitting in our mother’s lap.”
