Description:

Episode Description: In this talk, Sensei Genzan Quennell introduces us to the life and work of Zen Master Tozan and invites us to meet ourselves, as Tozan did, at the river. Sensei Genzan explores the remarkable contributions of Master Tozan, such as the founding of the Soto lineage, the creation of the Five Ranks, and writing The Song of the Jewel Mirror Samadhi. Sensei Genzan reminds us that the greatest teaching Tozan received was that, “just this is it” and in seeing that, we see our true self.
