Description:

Episode Description: In this session, John Dunne discusses the concepts of “reflexive awareness” and “reflexive luminosity” in describing the nature of the mind. “This light is everywhere and there’s no center and no edge. It’s just illuminating cognizance–but at the same time it’s empty. It’s empty because whatever contents are there are not fixed.”  He discusses that the nature of the mind is also said to be fundamentally empty, saying, “in terms of what it’s actual nature is, [the mind] is empty of that subject object structure. If we want to see what’s truly happening, we have to see awareness in its actual nature, as reflexively aware, reflexively cognizant, and empty of subject-object duality.”
