In this episode, talk about a few new seminars that are coming up in the new year from JT Torres, Orlando Sanchez, and Richie “Boogyman” Martinez.
Then I move into the interview with BJJ Black Belt, Kenny Kim, who operates Kenny Kim BJJ in Marietta, GA. Kenny is a well known and respected martial artist who promotes unity (see what I did right there) amongst all rollers. His latest project, the BJJ Vacation Camp, Kenny will be hosting 10+ Black belt instructors in a weekend long seminar, bonding trip, and prep, as some of the athletes prepare for the Atlanta Open.
We discuss how instead of focusing on a particular subject during the seminar, he likes to focus on the bonds that a participant would gain as a result of joining the seminar. Kenny also shares knowledge for the up and coming black belts who are looking into teaching through seminars versus having a brick and mortar school.
