Carlos Sapao is a third degree black belt from Brazil, that owns and operates Carlos Sapao Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense in San Fransisco, CA. Even though he is of Ralph Gracie lineage, he has studied under Renzo Gracie and the late Ryan Gracie.
While he has been training close to 30 years, his focus remains the same, exploring the possibilities of Jiu Jitsu, while keeping its traditions intact. Coach Sapao doesn’t like the attention on himself, instead he prefers that the Jiu Jitsu he displays be the “main star of the show”. Join me as go into the mind of Coach Sapao and find out why he always prefers to swim against the current and how Jiu jitsu as a whole can be improved.
