Michael Jen is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Joe Moreira, and Head Jiu Jitsu Instructor at all three Smash Gyms Locations in the San Jose, CA area. In addition to being a outstanding teacher, he is an accomplished author, creating the book, The Science of Submission: A principal based approach to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu( with Co-author Geoffrey Gluckman). During the interview, Michael discusses how he started his BJJ journey, to leaving a business behind to train in his garage, to joining Smash Gyms.
