Description: Dr Monsivais is senior university lecturer at the Centre for Diet and Activity Research (CEDAR). Dr Monsivais is a public health researcher who is interested in the social determinants of food consumption, obesity and health. Of particular interest are the social and economic pathways that couple low socioeconomic status with poor diet. A second area of research is in measuring the effects of nutrition and public health programmes and interventions on food consumption and the nutritional quality of the diet.
