Description: When people suffer trauma in their lives, the results can be devastating. In addition to the physical harm that often accompanies trauma-related events, the emotional scars can be even more long-lasting — affecting a person (and their families) for years after trauma occurs. On this edition of UWM Today , we learn more about a program designed to help people deal with the trauma in their lives at a time when they are experiencing another stressful activity – looking for a job. Our guest is Dimitri Topitzes , a professor in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at UW–Milwaukee. He helps lead a program called Healthy Worker, Healthy Wisconsin.
