Homily from the Second Sunday of Advent.
The joy that can thrive in any environment. Christian joy is more than a feeling. It is the sense of well-being that is the fruit of something else. It is the fruit of a life lived in God. A life “lived in God” is eminently practical; it simply involves the honest prayer, “Father, Thy will be done." If a person lives this prayer in every environment, one can experience the joy that thrives in any environment.
