A Classic is a work of art that touches your mind and heart in such a way that you wish to repeat the experience again and again. Whether it is a painting, a sculpture, a book or a piece of music, it is something that you never tire of because every time you observe, read or listen you learn something new that enriches you intellectually and emotionally.
Kevin Power’s CAMPUS CLASSICS on UCC Radio combines familiar with less well-known classical music by composers of both sexes. The programme offers an entertaining hour for classical music lovers as well as inviting new listeners to dip their musical toe in unfamiliar territory. Along with the music comes information that throws light on the background of the pieces played. Programmes frequently include great comic and satirical songs that are classics in their own right, So: tune in and expect the unexpected!
