On May 6th, 1993, an infant’s body was found inside a trash bag along the Susquehanna River in York County, Pennsylvania. A month later, a 17-year-old girl named Melisa McManus was charged with murdering her own child, allegedly with the help of three accomplices.

They ranged from confessions to saying she was never pregnant. But friends and family came forward to say she was pregnant and that she had even shown them a baby picture. All of this turned out to be a ruse designed to throw people off the truth of what really happened.
