Summer EDC - 79

Description:

This week we talk about changing our EDC for summer. Ben is looking to change his knife and flashlight. He's planning on removing the clip from his pocket knife and carrying it in his pocket, as well as moving to a smaller flashlight. I'm pretty content with my summer carry gear, but sometimes I move things around a bit. I'm a board shorts and flip-flops kind of guy when the weather is nice, so being able to carry concealed, and have all of my EDC gear with me then is important.

The News:

A Minnesota man took home defense way too far. Remember, defending yourself is about stopping the threat, and keeping yourself alive, not killing or punishing someone.

Several Durham, NC Police Officers were disciplined recently for taking parts off of seized firearms and using them for departmental and personal use.

Tom Ridge, former Governor, statist, and former DHS secretary recently joined Everytown. Then he quit, not because he disagrees with their stance on guns, but because he doesn't want to help them campaign against other Republicans like himself. While all this was going down, the Misguided Moms showed up in Indianapolis for a protest several blocks away from the NRA Annual Meeting. They had armed security, and maybe 100 protesters. (About 75,000 gun loving Americans attended the show)

Plug of the Week:

I've found the Bass Pro Shops in Cary, NC to be a very welcome addition to the community. They have a great selection of reloading supplies including powder, primers, projectiles, brass, presses, tumblers, and more. Prices aren't the best, but they are acceptable. Good place.

Tip of the Week:

When reloading: If it won't fit, don't force it.
