Below are 2 questions pulled from a September 5, 2017 IG post answered at length by Max El-Hag in part 5 of this 5 part series. 00:38 - In Ben Bergeron's podcast, he speaks of not wanting his athletes to train with each other year round because he feels they will constantly try to out each other and lead to a pseudo "over training" state. You have recently stated that you want a thriving in house community for athletes to push off of each other. Why this thoughtful pursuit and additionally, how would this happen being that your gyms is individual programming. Would this be used as a periodically tested thing between athletes a nice we can assume their programming isn't identical? 12:46 - On a recent Ben Bergeron podcast he talked ideally we should be practicing and training a combined 90% roughly then 'Compete' 10%. Competing meaning you track your score and attempt to best your previous record. He stated the opposite holds true in your typical CF Box because your typical athlete would become bored. What are your thoughts around this as far as training, practicing and competing? It's his #16 podcast I'm referencing. Thanks! |
