Each year the Elders graciously give me (Lead Pastor Aaron Brockett) some time away, in which I am to devote to personal study and sermon preparation for the upcoming year. Since I spend roughly 15-20 hours per week on the development and delivery of weekly sermons, I look forward to this annual “study break” in order to make sure that I am staying spiritually refreshed and digging my wells deep, so to speak.
In an effort to free me up to do this, I’ve asked some of my favorite preachers to come in and “pinch hit.” Not only are these five men some of my favorite communicators, they are also experienced ministry practitioners whom God is using to impact thousands of people’s lives through churches, Bible colleges, and published books and video material. This sermon series is called One Thing I Want You To Know … and I’ve asked the guys, “If it were possible to sit down with our entire church over a cup of coffee, what is the one thing you’d want them to know from God’s Word?”Their answers have become the insightful and powerful teaching for these five weeks ... |
