What happens when life gets too hectic to camp? That’s what the camping through chaos episode is about.
Don was 4 1/2 when our twin daughters were born. Our small popup would easily sleep all of us, but life was hectic. We both worked full time. We also had a brand new house that needed a yard. There were walls to paint and other new house projects that came along.
We camped and traveled over the next few years, but we had about a 4 year stretch with no RV. During that time we used cabins, motels and one motor home rental. About 5 years and two houses later, we bought another popup.
Chaos Is Back, In A Good Way
We bought a pickup and slide-in camper a couple of years ago. The plan was to re-enter the wonderful world of camping and RVing, but as empty nesters. We also wanted to introduce the great American pastime to our grandchildren.
Oh, the curve balls life has dealt us over the last year or so. The chaos is back, but it’s all good. Things will be calmer by fall, but it sure puts a damper on the camping schedule. In the long run, it’s all for the better.

As we explain in the episode, show notes will be short for the next three or four shows. Kris and I will get settled in and get back to enjoying God’s beautiful creation.
