Description: MAIN EPISODE On this episode we out on our proton packs and edge our way into the world of the hereafter where the spirits of the dead hold dominion. This is the reconstituted version of a show from the start of Season 1, which was horroibly disfigured by technical faults. This is the full version of Ghosts, with some extra juice! We talk about the origins of ghost stories from around the world and the types of ghosts that the human mind thought relevant to create. There is an imperative for people to think there is something after death, why would we behave while we were alive if there wasn't? But from culture to culture and all through the ages there have been stories of ghosts to quieten naughty children and scare heathen adults into obedience.  As in our Ed and Lorraine Warren episode, we discuss a haunting and what speaking with the dead can do for someone who wants to make a quick buck. There are the most famous haunted houses and well known stories of ghouls and apparitions from thorughout history too and we try to fit in as many as we can. There is also a science to the world of the afterlife, and ghost hunters have made their living trying to bring us closer to the truth of where we go when we die. We chat about exorcists and spiritual mediums and how these alleged TV charlatans can have any method of truly communicating with the spirit world.
