Tony Overbay interviews Jeff Adamec on the topic of PTSD the negative stigma associated with discussing mental health challenges in the military. Jeff served in the United States Army as a Ranger and a Special Forces Green Beret for 18 years. He had 6 tours of combat to both Iraq and Afghanistan where he conducted Special Operations missions. He has been awarded a Silver Star (The Nations 3rd Highest award) 4 Bronze Stars, an Army Commendation Medal with ā€œVā€ device for valor, and a Purple Heart among many others. in 2009 he was wounded during combat operations in Afghanistan and suffered a broken back, and a traumatic brain injury. He later was diagnosed with PTSD and was eventually medically retired from service in 2013 after 18 years on active duty.
