It’s that time again where I answer a question from a swimmer and the question this episode is:
I don’t get it. I train so hard everyday and I get pretty much the same results as the guy who slacks off the entire set and then sprints the last 50. What’s up with that? I’m beginning to think it’s not worth training hard anymore!
At first glance it seems like this question is about dealing with slackers, but there something deeper going on here and that is the issue that I want to address. It’s the issue of comparison and I know swimmers aren’t the only ones that struggle with this. In the middle of making this episode I realized that I too was guilty.
In this episode I talk about comparison and how it can be healthy and how it can be harmful and how you can avoid falling into the trap. Know anyone that falls into this trap? Do them a favor and send them this episode.
Don’t forget to help out by leaving a rating and a review on iTunes. I appreciate you and thanks for listening.
