Description:

I’m finally back! I apologize for the 3 long weeks of silence and if you want to know what the problem was, I explain it in the first few seconds of this episode…but none of that matters now. All that matters is that episode 8 is finally published! #victorydance

A few weeks ago I sat down with a swim team and read them a short story. It was weird for a lot of them, but they seemed eager to do anything that would keep them out of the water for a few more minutes. The story I read to them was a well written insight into the success of a professional basketball player. It’s an excerpt from the book Mastery by Robert Greene where Greene highlights the road to success for many successful athletes, scientists, doctors, artists, etc… If you’ve never read it, I strongly encourage you to do so.

In this episode you will learn:

  • Why I missed 2 weeks worth of podcasting
  • The story of Bill Bradley
  • The mindset of a highly successful athlete
  • The importance of identifying your weaknesses
  • The importance of loving your sport
  • The difference between you and athletes that succeed
