I recorded this episode to reflect on where I am right now in my own personal journey with Stoicism. Some of the views that I hold are not quite Stoic. I feel that somethings that the Stoics would call preferred indifferents, I would call sub-goods (virtue being the supreme good). Things like family, food, shelter. Things that are natural and necessary for a full human life. We can live a a life without these preferred indiffernets and still be good people if we have virtue. But to flourish I think we need both. I can be a good person while starving to death, but to flourish I need a sandwich!
