The term 'sports scandal' might make you think of drug cheats or sex tapes.
Not novelty cheques being handed over to bowling clubs in marginal electorates.
But what started as a pretty ordinary sports grants program in the run up to last year's Federal Election is bringing a lot of heat to the Government.
An Auditor-General's report out last week shows 70% of projects approved in the second round of the scheme in March 2019 were not recommended by Sport Australia.
Now, there's a growing list of people angry with the Government over how it spent that $100m.
