We used to worry that we'd run out of oil, but thanks to new mining technology, that's not a problem anymore. There are still lots of reasons to quit oil though. The trend has already begun, driven by governments and consumers, but we're still a long way from weaning ourselves off completely. So what's the hold up? And just how far off are we?
