Description: George Pell's spent his first night in jail, as his lawyer prepares to launch his appeal against his conviction on five child sexual abuse charges. In spite of the unanimous verdict, a lot of Australians, some Catholic and some powerful, aren't convinced of his guilt. So what's their logic? At the same time, George Pell's lawyers haven't given up, even as his bail is revoked and he's moved to prison to await sentencing. His legal team is making arguments that seem at times to contradict Pell's claims of innocence. We unpack their strategy and find out what the next steps are for Australia's best known Catholic.
