George Pell: the story we couldn't tell - until now

Description: The world finally knows that George Pell has been convicted of child sex abuse. Back in December, the man in charge of Vatican finances, a former Archbishop of Melbourne and Sydney, and Australia's most senior Catholic, was found guilty on five counts of sexually abusing two choir boys in Melbourne in 1996. Up until now, a planned second trial on separate charges meant there was a strict suppression order in place, prohibiting the media from reporting on the verdict, in case it was prejudicial. But with the second trial dropped, the suppression order has been too. Today, The Signal speaks to one of only a few reporters who watched the trial unfold first hand to hear exactly how it played out.
