The SensiblePM interviews Jenna Cypert who recently earned her PMP. She shares her experiences becoming a new project manager and what she did to prepare to take the PMP exam.

Some of the activities that helped Jenna prepare to take the PMP exam are:
- Augment the study of the PMBOK with project management books. Rita Mulcahy and Andy Crowe were authors specifically mentioned.
- Take a class through the local PMP chapter. The class Jenna took lasted about three months and provided both instruction as well as study partners which helped facilitate the learning process.
- Be persistent as you study.
- Study sample tests, for instance there are websites that have sample tests you can take to help practice for the test.
Jenna also shared her experiences as she became a project manager. She also discussed her recent role as product owner as the company she works for is beginning to use Scrum as an agile development methodology.
