Although it may not look like it, running a blog can be a lot of work. A few months ago, I actually took the leap and hired Christian Perea as the first full-time employee for RSG and on today’s podcast we talk to him all about his roles and responsibilities for RSG.
If you’re looking for a nitty-gritty rideshare podcast, this probably isn’t the one for you, but today we will be giving you a behind the scenes look at how we deal with advertisers, how we come up with content for the blog and more!

Writing for RSG
- A lot goes into writing for the blog
- Important to get all the facts right before writing, find out what’s important for drivers, because drivers are our readers
- Avoiding reactionary content as much as possible
- Easier to write the articles that you know – what it’s like being a driver, tips for new drivers, etc.
What’s a Typical Day Working for RSG?
- Works from home
- Email, reading driver feeds and check the pulse of the industry and how drivers are feeling
- Tackles big pieces/articles first – gets them set up
- Afternoon spent working on articles for the rest of the week, handling advertiser inquiries and any press requests
- Evening is the most productive time – caffeine has kicked in! Spends time working on the biggest project of the day
- Done working around 7 or 8 p.m.
- Best thing about this job is being productive when actually productive – most productive time is at night, and this would never work in a traditional work setting
