As an aside straight from Matt, any time I hear this argument about just keeping a little bit of a food you react badly to in your diet, it sounds like an underwear gnomes plan. Phase 1: Eat just a little bit of a food that you know will make you sick. Phase 2: ? Phase 3: Profit.
