Description: SHOW NOTES Introducing Trevor Hipwell: There is no question that the population of the FFA has been changing over the years.....for the better.  More and more students from in town and the suburbs are joining the FFA.  Thus the FFA changed their name from "Future Farmers Of America" to simply "FFA" a few years back.   This is great because the FFA still encompasses the students off of the farm, but now students from in town are learning about agriculture.  Whether or not these students pursue a career in agriculture, they learn about agriculture which serves us well. When a student lives in a subdivision it can create a challenge for their projects while in the FFA.  They do not have room to raise large livestock like cattle or pigs.  So, what can they do if they are interested in raising animals and having that experience. Our guest today solved that riddle by raising quail and pigeons.  He has a strong interest in birds and wants to pursue that interest for his career.  Where he lives in Meridian, Idaho he does not have the room or ability to raise large livestock, so he raises birds.  He now has his eye fixed on a future in fish and wildlife work as a biologist and expert on birds.  Good luck to you Trevor!
