Description: SHOW NOTES INTRODUCING HOLLY LARSON! The old cliche goes "you don't know what you have until it's gone".  Well today's episode is celebrating those folks wise enough to know what they have, when they have it! Our guest today, as you can guess from the title of this show, has the deepest family heritage in FFA of any student that I have ever interviewed.  Holly Larson says that she has been involved with the FFA since she was born.  Check out these statistics: Holly's father was her FFA advisor, and has been an advisor for over 30 years Holly's 4 uncles are also FFA advisors Holly's 3 sisters and brother are all FFA members I have interviewed students whose FFA legacy goes a couple generations deep, but never a student with as wide and vast of a family heritage in the FFA. Holly's future plans include going back to the classroom as an FFA advisor.  In addition to studying agricultural education she is also studying food science.  I asked her how she will fit that into her classroom, and she already has a bunch of plans. REASONS TO DONATE TO FFA: Only 2% of Americans grow and raise most of the food and livestock consumed by the other 98% as well as the rest of the world.  FFA is providing the needed education, training and resources to Americans that will carry that torch forward and insure that America continues to have inexpensive, quality food. Rural Communities will rely on entrepreneurship in the future for population growth and job creation.  The FFA is a major catalyst to that entrepreneurial growth. Farmers, ranchers and those working in agriculture give the rest of America incredible amounts of freedom because the search for food is as simple as going to the grocery store: "Because American farmers are able to provide for so many of us, they give more and more of us the freedom to pursue goals and livelihoods beyond growing the food we need to survive."
