Description: SHOW NOTES INTRODUCING HARLEY BRAUN! One of the very first interviews I did on this show was with one of my heroes, Baxter Black.  When I started that interview I thought we would be talking all about cowboy poetry, but really we ended up speaking about how you can find success for yourself.  One of the things that Baxter told was a piece of advice that he had been given in the past - "write a weekly column".  So, he did.  Our guest today, Harley Braun, is proving that this model never dies.  For Harley's supervised agricultural experience she was doing the writing, media releases and media relations for her FFA chapter.  Her ability to communicate with others helped to put her on top.  To the point that she was teaching classes in preparation for her future career as an agriculture teacher.  It also vaulted her to being president of her chapter. You will be able to tell through this interview that Harley is a very good communicator.  The FFA is an excellent place for students to learn how to communicate effectively.  A skill that will serve them for the rest of their lives. REASONS TO DONATE TO FFA: Only 2% of Americans grow and raise most of the food and livestock consumed by the other 98% as well as the rest of the world.  FFA is providing the needed education, training and resources to Americans that will carry that torch forward and insure that America continues to have inexpensive, quality food. Rural Communities will rely on entrepreneurship in the future for population growth and job creation.  The FFA is a major catalyst to that entrepreneurial growth. Farmers, ranchers and those working in agriculture give the rest of America incredible amounts of freedom because the search for food is as simple as going to the grocery store: "Because American farmers are able to provide for so many of us, they give more and more of us the freedom to pursue goals and livelihoods beyond growing the food we need to survive."
