Description: SHOW NOTES INTRODUCING HAYLEY FERNANDES! If you will not allow anything to stop you and set you mind to what you want to do, there is very little that you cannot accomplish.  Our guest today, Hayley Fernandes, has this advice for every student out there. Hayley has made her hay in the dairy industry.  This has included being a state proficiency finalist, state star farmer finalist and showing cattle at the world dairy expo.  She now has her own herd of 20 registered Jersey and Holstein cattle. There was a lot to talk about with Hayley, but what stood out to me was the advice she gave.  She doesn't think anyone who does not live on a dairy like she does should allow this to limit them.  And to hear her say it is very convincing.  Hayley has great advice about how to find a dairy that might allow you to house your cattle there and how to approach the dairyman about doing that. Hayley's off to a great start, and with her advice you could be to! REASONS TO DONATE TO FFA: Only 2% of Americans grow and raise most of the food and livestock consumed by the other 98% as well as the rest of the world.  FFA is providing the needed education, training and resources to Americans that will carry that torch forward and insure that America continues to have inexpensive, quality food. Rural Communities will rely on entrepreneurship in the future for population growth and job creation.  The FFA is a major catalyst to that entrepreneurial growth. Farmers, ranchers and those working in agriculture give the rest of America incredible amounts of freedom because the search for food is as simple as going to the grocery store: "Because American farmers are able to provide for so many of us, they give more and more of us the freedom to pursue goals and livelihoods beyond growing the food we need to survive."
