During the coronavirus shutdown kids are home from school at a time of year when they normally would not be. You might think, this is no big deal, the kids are home all summer long while we are farming and we deal with that every year. However, having them home during planting season is something new, and during a time of the year when we are so busy, sleep deprived and stressed out it can make us overlook things that we might otherwise pay attention to.
The issues of kids being home and a myriad of other things that we may never give any thought to are what we are going to address on this bonus episode of the Off-Farm Income Podcast. I will have Dr. Casper Bendixsen from the National Farm Medicine Center back on the show to discuss some of the things to look out for. We will also talk about resources that are out there for folks wanting to know how to deal with this on the farm.
