In spite of my best intentions, I have been itching to get back to work.  I took the entire week of Thanksgiving off, and I found myself wanting to work on the business when I had idle time. I don’t consider myself to be a workaholic, but I definitely felt the tug to get back to work all week.

With that said, I had a great week with the family.  I started off with a turkey trot relay on Saturday morning, which I survived.  Then we headed across the state of Pocatello to watch the Kuna Kavemen play in the state championship football game.  They won!  It was an awesome trip.

We spent Thanksgiving Day with family and had a great meal.  And, my mother in law gave me and my brother in law an Advent Calendar that is filled with German beers.  We were both very excited about this as we both are “Germans from Russia”.  It was especially cool for me as I never had an Advent calendar as a kid and always wanted one.  At 46 years of age I finally have one, but instead of chocolates inside there is beer!

We got our first real snow over winter the night before I recorded this episode.  I have been very fortunate that I have not had to feed any animals all November long.  It looks like that is over now however.  All the remaining forage we have for them is covered with snow, and it is time to start feeding.

We have one last hunt remaining this season.  I have a muzzleloader tag for a cow elk.  I’ll be focusing on that over the next two weeks in addition to the podcast and farm.  I’ll let you know how it goes!
