Today’s episode is a departure from normal for the show.  Normally, we profile people with a for profit business on Fridays.  Occasionally, well actually only one other time, I run across people with a passion for agriculture that pushes them to provide a service for free.  In episode #54 I interviewed a gentleman who would rototill people’s garden plots for free.  Today I interview Lisza Christine who helps diagnose the reasons why people’s bee colonies died for free.

Lisza is very passionate about bees.  So much so that she does not believe in raising bees even as a hobby for honey consumption.  Lisza has very strong opinions about commercial honey production as well.  Much of what she said in the interview I had not heard before but made intuitive sense.  We were able to find some common ground on the consumption of honey and other bi-products from bees.  However, Lisza suggested doing this in a situation that gives every advantage to the bee colony for future survival, and it was hard to argue with that.

Where Lisza, I and all of you definitely can find common ground is in passion for agriculture.  She lives on a homestead and raises livestock and is fired up about bees.  All of us have that one thing in agriculture that we would do for free.  In Lisza’s case, she actually is!
