KEY IDEAS:
I recently was able to attend Farm Aid in Hartford, Connecticut. I had never been to a festival like this or to an event that was this politically charged. The political climate here was definitely on the left side of the  aisle. But regardless of your political affiliation one thing was consistent at this festival – everyone was supportive of family farmers.
Farm Aid is made up of four board members, all legendary musicians:
Willie Nelson
Neil Young
John Mellencamp
Dave Matthews
I was also able to interview some great people both in urban agriculture as well as traditional farming who were there to support everything that was going on:

This was a great event, and I encourage you all to attend at some point. You will leave inspired!
