The stock market has turned into a casino. Nearly half the options on S&P 500 stocks as well as on SPY and QQQ have maturities of less than 24 hours (0DTE). This means that everybody is after a quick buck. . .a REALLY quick buck. . . about as quick a slot machine in Vegas. Now, 60% of options traded had maturities of 1-2 days, up from 0% in 2010, and 6% in 2018. Investor to Gambler ratio has changed dramatically. . .by 60 fold in thirteen years.
