A Barna survey shows that 16- to 29-year-olds have negative impressions about the church, including that Christians are too political. But what is the definition in view of the term “political?” Is this a reference to the state and the government, or a reference to offending someone in the pew? Are issues like abortion and incest political issues or ethical issues? What is the difference between a political issue and an ethical issue? We discuss Kevin DeYoung’s recent article on the subject of politics and the church and also give a brief treatment to President Biden’s funding of atheistic evangelism.
