Why do the brains of Christians turn to mush when it comes to discerning the worldview messages conveyed by the entertainment fare? Children are given the escapist utopia in Disney — the shortcut to living happily ever after, which usually comes after discovering the good within yourself. The intensely moral themes present “pro-social values,” but they certainly are not biblical values rooted in the fear of God or the love of God. In some cases, the dreams of self-fulfillment are supposed to be found in romantic love - another cruel humanist, self-centered dream. We find more instances where Christian leaders are discerning too little too late about Hollywood and its friends.
