Were George Orwell and Aldous Huxley right in their “prophetic” announcements of the Brave New World in 1984 or 2024? The national government's take of the GDP has risen from 0.3% to 25% in 100 years — ten times the involvement in our lives of what George Orwell experienced in the 1930s. Man’s relation with the state will only increase as his relationships in family, church, and community dissolves. This is the trend, and not much is slowing it down now. But, will God exempt His people from some of this? Will there be an island of freedom for us? Orwell forgot to include a sovereign God over all in his little story. This program includes: 1.
