A paranormal detective researching an ancient civilization soon realizes he plays a central role in the war between the world of the light and the dark. Alone in the Dark is the 2nd movie we reviewed from Uwe Boll, who has a reputation for video game adaptations, although not a good one. We previously reviewed House of the Dead earlier this year and while it was a fun watch, the movie was not the best. Actually, it was pretty horrible. In any case, we wanted to give Uwe Boll another shot and maybe we shouldn't have. Alone in the Dark is a tough watch. Although it's stacked with some big name actors like Christian Slater, Tara Reid, and Stephen Dorff, it's a hard watch and doesn't really have any direction.
