The second wave of the Covid pandemic in India caught the government and health infrastructure by a rude surprise and after a point, it was evident that the citizens were on their own. However, this was also the time that the community of founders & entrepreneurs stood up to solve the problem in their own unique way. In this episode, Karthik speaks to founders who were part of two such movements. Part 1 is Karthik's conversation with Gautam Raj Anand - Founder and CEO of Hubhopper, who was one of the people involved in the #MissionOxygen initiative that saved thousands of lives by procuring medical equipment through a huge crowdfunding initiative. Part 2 is Karthik's conversation with Uttkarsh Roy and Divyaansh Anuj – co-founders of Introbot, a chatbot that helped millions of people get authentic information and source medical and other supplies, by a combination of technology and crowdsourced validation. Together these two movements have saved thousands of lives in India during the second wave.
