A decade ago the spiritual left and wide swaths of the psychedelic community sincerely believed that the end of the year 2012 would usher in the "end of history" and the "transcendental object at the end of time," and, needless to say, nothing of the sort happened as it was all utter BS to begin with. From the audiobook of The Entheological Paradigm, here are two essays I wrote at the time calling out the nonsense. Given contemporary trends around "conspirituality," I guess the lessons haven't been learned.
