Taxing Investment Property to Pay for Public Education Voters should expect to see a question on the Nov 6 ballot about taxing investment property to pay for public education. The Senate voted to put the question to voters, which would to establish a surcharge on residential investment property and visitor accommodations to increase funding for public education.
