With the Boston Marathon less than a week away and the significance of this year’s race, I thought it fitting to talk about a couple of my favorite contenders and finishing the last four miles of your marathon fast.
If you’re familiar with marathoning, I’m sure you’ve heard the marathon is a 20 miler with the hardest 10k of your life or anyone can run 22 miles, it’s those last 4 that count. Both these statements couldn’t be further from the truth.
But there is something you can do to make those last four miles the strongest, and that is train for them in a specific way. In this episode I share a training technique that will help you make the last four miles of your marathon as strong as the first.
