As we walk through the path of our life, we often find it difficult to deal with the daily occurrences that make up our journey. There are arguments. There are challenges with deal with. The unexpected shows up, and we’re not sure how to deal with it.
So how do we get through all these things and still find joy in our lives? Tune in and learn how to cultivate a more joyful experience of life!
Segment 1:
Quotes of the day:
The Universe: Mike Dooley is playfully reminding us that we are all that we perceive and everything “is” us and “within” us.
Abraham: “Look for things to appreciate, and you will live a joyous life.” The more we do that, the more we connect with our spirits and hearts. As humans, we love to complicate things, but looking for things to appreciate is “so simple that it’s stupid”, says Sam. We have control over what we choose to focus on. If you focus on the negative, it’s going to make you feel worse.
Segment 2:
In life, sometimes things are thrown at you when you least expect it and it causes stress or anxiety. Recently, when Sam was working with clients during his training for Shamanism, he stayed present with them, while they told their stories, instead of feeling pain for them. He found the Joy and beauty of all of these sad stories. Sometimes feeling sad, is what the clients need in order to move on from the pain.
Segment 3:
Going back to the quote of the day, depending on what we focus on, that’s what makes us feel sadness or joy. Instead of constantly thinking that your crazy boss is making you stressed or you have a big deadline coming up, focus on the fact that you’re getting paid. Focus on the fact that you’re building your career every single day you go to work.
Exercise: Think of a time where you were happy. Whether it was a vacation,a person, or just a time in your life that made you smile. How did you feel during that time?
How do you feel after that exercise? I bet most of you feel just a little bit happier before than you did before.
Segment 4:
Be grateful for some of your triggers in life. Sometimes triggers, help us in ways we don’t even think of. That does not mean that we should feel pain and sadness all the time, it just means that when something trigger us, that does not mean we should step away from any joy we are feeling. Life is about learning and growing and when something happens that does not make us feel good, think of it as an opportunity to improve! |
